Ouch!

You and I have probably never paid attention to this.

It sounds strange yet unnerving.

Every time you pick your handbag, are you loading off a 'kill-me' bomb?

As fifth graders or even younger or for that matter even till we graduated from high school, a heavy school bag would be the biggest enemy and a weapon we'd proudly use to convince our parents, how miserable school and everything related to it was. We gained sympathy and a 'spare-away' from our awesome, awesome home-work.

This time, it's a little more serious. Taken the fact, on-going styles, worldwide have never been this fashionable and we are happily sinking ourselves into this temptation.

There is something strikingly shocking about this article from India Today: Your bag could be a health hazard

All of the health hazard issue was spurred up by Victoria Becham's over sized bag collection causing harm to the back and neck. Doctors give a warn against picking up one of these deceiving totes and termed this bag-and-health chaos, "Poshitis."

It pin points the lack of (healthy) logic behind her designs, along with the patterns we, women bend on.

Heavy handles and heavier bags, summing up everything we do in a day and everything that goes into that sac. Let's give a thought and go back to the basics: what's with our lifestyle?

Why B.E?

I realized, I haven't let you in as much.

Let's rewind:

Raw, absurd, bright art has always been my preference. Binging on colours, and loitering around with the one thing that you will find me spending most of my life with, I spread out my wings with some paint and let it take over me.

I've shifted base recently from where my soul truly lies, Mumbai city to the obsessive shopping paradise, desert land and whatever you may call it- Dubai. I am still getting hold of my things and unfortunately my old and treasured accessories- talking of my painted junk, stay abandoned  in my treasure trunk back home.

While I hope I get them here soon and get you to see it, in the meanwhile I'll fill you up on my tastes and why the crazy, odd vegetable to sum up for my bag spot.

If a colour had to affect me, it would be purple, violet or even dark hues of plum. It had to be dark yet with a tinge of effervescence. There is so much this colour can do and undo. It's quirk personified. The combination with this colour and the sunny yellow can however have a whimsical effect. Nothing should stop you to pair it up in what you do/wear anyway. Chance, it is.

My current hooker

I so happen to dig into this ocher punch leather tote. Picked from the hustling Deira Souq (Dubai) around a year ago, I am back to hanging around with it. It keeps away from being too heavy and  snazzy, though it wouldn't take too much to tie up a fun scarf  and have a story of it's own to tell. I've slipped in a cotton scarf from Max (Dubai). Its feather weight, and the grey-pink bird print mix with the faint grey stripes beautifully. It totally shows you the way to roll in this heat.

So "face the sun and the shadows will fall behind you."

Tell me, who is your companion/s this summer?

Jumping Back

I am stepping in and for good.

Gave my obsession a little rest. Pulled it back now, before it slips away. Again.

I am talking about mine and every other woman's beloved space giver-the hand bag. You could call  this your bag spot in a while.

Of Bags And Words

We've all been exposed to or slipped into tees with provocative quotes. I've dug out quotes on our shoulder warmers that are rather confessions and wouldn't mind being spotted with.

Some quotes just push you to your confessions.

Excuse me, while I dig into my thought-tote, and let you peak in.

Priyanka.

No girl really feels complete without the sac that dangles beneath her shoulders, every time she steps out. Ofcourse! It’s beyond that sac now. The quilted sling, that envelope attracter or just your saviour tote; even if it just reduces to that tiny box clutch or the simple money keeper: it has to be there and do all that. It’s no mere accessory.
Doesn’t it sting you, when you go terribly wrong with this part of your attire? That’s what it does to you. ‘Brinjal Effect’ is meant to sting you in a certain fashion too, while it’s at your rescue.
I like investing my time and money on bags and that’s the soul reason I am extending my enthusiasm to you. Bag stores, sales, my best discoveries and latest patterns with tips are what you should be expecting in here. You could send in your best pick, or just about anything that expresses your love for our always humble and handy space givers.
